The treatment of Sleep-e-Clinic works according to a few principles.
You want to sleep better at home. In our philosophy, people should also measure their sleep at home then. If you are at risk of having a physical or medical sleeping problem such as sleep apnea, it makes sense to go to a specialized clinic where your sleep is mapped extensively for a specific diagnosis. However, most people do not have such a medical sleeping problem. In those cases, it is better to measure a series of nights at home to gain insight into the amount and quality of your sleep. That way, you can also start immediately.
The sleep measurements we provide at your home are simple. You do not need to write up sleeping diaries, which is not only a tiring activity but usually also very inaccurate. Instead, you can see the analyses of your sleep right away on your smartphone.
At Sleep-e-Clinic we find it essential that you first know how good your night's rest is before we look further into treatment. We know through scientific research and from our own experience that people can not correctly assess their sleep. Many people are therefore too worried about their sleeping problem. The opposite also occurs: people think they sleep well, while they have a severe sleeping problem, such as sleep apnea.
People with sleeping problems often worry about it a lot. To obtain better sleep you need the right support and attention, with an eye for you as a person. Therefore, our treatment includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Simply put, CBT helps you to deal with your sleeping problems in a more relaxed and healthy way. This idea may seem strange when you consider how much distress you are experiencing. However, we often compare sleep with love: the harder you to try to force it, the less you usually receive it. The CBT, therefore, helps you to stop running yourself down. You examine your mindset and behavior: how does my thinking pattern keep me awake? And what can I do in practice to easily fall asleep?
We combine cognitive behavioral therapy with an artificial intelligence-powered (AI) coach. It offers you the support and advice that is most applicable to you at that moment. This way you are guided to improve your sleep step by step, by a coach who gets smarter every day.
If you want to change your sleep undermining habits, small daily steps are best for the quickest change. That is why we provide you with a digital coach with the right knowledge, which gives you personalized advice and support. By looking at your measurements, results from scientific research and findings from other (poor) sleepers, this coach helps you improve your sleep on a day-to-day basis. You can always rely on that.
